Join us for this free online event designed for Head Teachers, Deputy Heads, Senior Leaders and Literacy Leaders, to discover how CLPE’s flagship Power of Reading training can support your school to structure and develop your English curriculum.

This webinar will be delivered by CLPE teaching expert, Darren Matthews who will be joined by a school leader from one of CLPE’s Associate Schools.

Learn how Power of Reading training will support you to develop a reading for pleasure school, improve reading attainment and writing stamina across the primary years as well as developing successful strategies for phonics, spelling and grammar. For schools who have access to our award-winning School Membership but have not attending the Power of Reading training, this event will show you how the training will help you to implement the teaching sequences in practice and use the approaches successfully, to see real impact across your school.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to have any of their questions answered about our Power of Reading Training.

Power of Reading training, which we offer as a face-to-face or online course, meets all requirements of the National Curriculum and covers:

•             Choosing high-quality children’s literature

•             Reading for pleasure

•             The importance of reading aloud

•             The reading environment

•             Storytelling and drama

•             Exploring the development of language and narrative

•             Developing fictional narratives

•             Reading skills and strategies

•             Exploring non-fiction

•             The importance of poetry.

Our free Leaders’ event will be hosted via Zoom and there is a maximum of 2 places per school.

Once you have secured your place, you will receive a confirmation email detailing how to join the session. Please ensure that you register well in advance of the event start. If you have any issues, please email webinar@clpe.org.uk
