CLPE nominated for the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award

We are delighted and proud to announce that CLPE has been nominated for the prestigious Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award (ALMA) for contributions to children’s literacy for the fourth consecutive year.

The ALMA is the world's largest award for children's and young adult literature. The UN convention of rights of the child is the foundation of the ALMA's work. It was founded by the Swedish government in 2002 and is administrated by the Swedish Arts Council. The award is given annually to a single laureate or to several and is designed to promote interest in children's and young adult literature. Authors, illustrators, oral storytellers and reading promoters are eligible. A total of 245 candidates from 68 countries have been nominated for the 2024 award and CLPE are honored to be included among the distinguished nominees. The recipent of the award will be announced on 9 April 2024.
